Dear Rotaractors,

Since 1968, Rotaract has made a difference in so many lives, in so many places around the world! And I’m not just talking about the lives of the people it helped in the community through projects, but the lives of the people involved in it themselves…Rotaractors!

Rotaract, like Rotary, has not only helped in the development of the community, the promotion of peace and international dialogue and the development of young men and women’s professional and life skills…but it has passed that, and made the difference in with so many people in what is considered, probably, the most important thing for many in life; relationships!
Our relationships are what define us, as humans. We are social creatures, and we need to be with others, to give and receive, and to make an impact in other people’s lives.
And Rotaract has helped thousands of people do that, by the incredible team spirit and amazing fellowship that are alive in any Rotaract club!
It’s true, that this form of social relationships is present in many other places, but it’s only through Rotaract, that it’s present with such lively and vivid spirit! And, it’s only through Rotaract that joins people in so many beneficial areas; social and community service, club service and fellowship increase and professional skill development!
Rotaract is, without a doubt, a leading entity in the building of many young people’s lives!
And all Rotaractors know that it’s their sacred duty to fulfill the targets of Rotaract and Rotary International. And what better cause to bring people together in unity, than the cause of promoting for “world peace”?! And what better way to unite in doing so, than through Rotaract?!

Alexandria Cosmopolitan Rotaract Club is not simply one of thousands of clubs around the world. But it’s a leading club in its community and in the global community! Becoming the Benchmark and setting the Trends for many others, through our dedicated and effective projects, our enthusiastic team and our unbeatable and lively spirit, that overwhelms you, as soon as you set foot in our club!
We not only love what we do, but we take great passion, pride and attention to everything we undertake! And as mentioned before, the relationships we make are the most important thing in our lives!
In the end, as Rotaract has given so much to us and to the world, we’ve only begun giving back!
We must all unite; all Rotaractors around the world, to fulfill what should be later recognized as Rotaract’s Greatest Achievement!

Dear Rotarians and fellow Rotaractors, dear Cosmopolitans,

First, let me congratulate you all on the awards we received this year. And which, though not many, still prove that we are the best! Even at our least efforts and smallest number of our history, we still managed to take two prizes and a certificate. It goes without saying of course, that this was all Nancy’s great spirit and persistence that won us these awards. Nancy, you are an exceptional person, your patience and courage, even in the roughest times, kept the club standing. Had we done more efforts, we would have taken all the awards as usual.

But we’ve had a lot of bad luck last year, many Cosmopolitan heroes have left us, many got busy with their jobs and the rest just got married!

But let’s not talk about the past, let’s talk about now! We’ve learned from our mistakes, and we’re ready to take over again. This year, we’re growing, we’re getting more involved and we’re taking you by surprise!

We’re growing by bringing new members to the club, and increasing awareness and membership development. We’re getting more involved, by making more joint projects with our fellow clubs; we want to make new friends and new projects with all the clubs in Egypt if we can. And, we’re taking you by surprise, but I won’t tell you everything, or else it won’t be a surprise. Let me just say that Cosmo’s legendary “Spring-O-Mania” is back, and better than ever!

This year is all about fellowship, fellowship and fellowship! Fellowship inside the club and outside. And let the first step towards this be Cosmo’s RYLA in Hurghada. We want to invite all our dear fellow Rotaractors and friends to share this great experience, because as usual, Cosmo is always a leader in RYLA. With a new vision and idea, and an exciting program, you’re guaranteed to enjoy the best RYLA ever!

The new board has been meeting for over a month, discussing the club’s new policies and projects. I can promise you that this year will be a historical landmark in Cosmo’s glorious history. It will be a year full of new ideas and great projects. “Our Unity.. Our Strength” is the slogan we chose for the club this year. Because we will begin this year strong and remain strong by increasing our unity, as we said before, by fellowship. The new board members are all new blood to the club. A group of creative young men and women who are ready to prove what they can do, and that they’ll make their club better than ever! Their ideas are fresh, their projects are innovative and inspired, and their plans are organized, well scheduled and full to the last day of the year! All five committees are ready to start the year with booming projects. So, cosmos, be prepared.

In the end, I would like to thank Nancy once again, for a great year. I would like to thank all of you for your support and efforts, and we look forward for more this year.

Achieving greatness is neither an easy, nor and individual task, it’s a group effort. And for the cosmos, it’s a tradition!

Dear fellow Cosmopolitans,

When I was asked to write a message to Rotaractors around the world, I thought a lot about what I could say...so, I finally decided to write my message as an answer to a question that many people ask me; "Why are you in Rotaract?"

Have you ever been asked that question, or even asked yourself that question?
There is no 'correct answer' to this question, it's a very relative and personal matter, so I will tell you why I joined.

For me, the Rotaract image was parties, outings and having fun, but when I got more involved in Rotaract, I discovered that there is a much deeper meaning and aim to Rotaract.

The first time I visited an orphanage, I was struck by the huge effect we had on these children, and how we put a smile on their poor lonely faces. I left that day feeling like Queen of the world, like I could do anything, or solve any problem. Then, I found out that I was not only helping these people in need, I was also helping myself, maybe even
more!

And I came down to this conclusion, that the best thing you can do for someone is make them dream and making their dream come true...well, Rotaract made me dream, and helped me to make other people's dreams come true!

Dear fellow Cosmopolitans,

First of all, let me praise you for the outstanding performance that locates our beloved club on the top of the district 2450 during the year 2002/2003. It wasn’t a surprise, however it was the normal result of the marvelous efforts, strapping collaboration, and high discipline throughout the year. Simply it was the result of implementing our slogan then “TOGETHER WE CAN DO BETTER”.

Although the said achievement is an honor to all of us, it represents a major challenge, especially to me, because maintaining the peak is much harder than attaining it. Moreover, we should realize that the overall district performance is expected to further enhance during the current year mirroring the better understanding of the Rotaract value, regulations, and ethics.

This in turn will toughen the competition, and thus impose high pressure on our club, and all other Rotaractors. In my opinion, this will direct all clubs to sharpen their saws, and do their best, thus moving the whole district towards achieving the main target of volunteer work, which is my opinion serving the community.

Dear all, I hope I will be up to the standard of being a president for such a respectable name, and be able to continue the success of my predecessor presidents, as I have no excuse being supported by devoting members, professional board, and truthful advisors.

One more thing is that I would like to express my happiness with terrific relationship between our RAC, and our beloved sponsoring Rotary Club. The tremendous feelings that were built on respect are always dominating the atmosphere between the two clubs; this in turns makes our relation a role model for what should take place between the Rotary and the Rotaract clubs.

Last but not least, I would like to congratulate our promising Interact Club with their strong startup; fine performance, friendly atmosphere, and I wish them the best of luck as they are representing the Cosmopolitans’ future.

I am really glad that or dream is coming True , it’s the launch of Cosmo website…….

Isn't it great?

Guys, let me admit that from the day I joined the club in 1996 till now ,
I have learned a lot .

When I looked back , yaahhhhh, all those years had passed , but lucky were all the Cosmos , since it was born , it was different & unique in all aspects , in terms of the Projects types, People , fun even in our Parties ,almost all the Alexandrian Community Knows by Hard Cosmo Party known as “Spring Omania”…most successful part in Alex.

When I thought what can I write reflecting my feelings toward all the Cosmos , I discovered that his will take pages & pages…….
Thinking of being a president to those wonderful group of people was an idea never dreamed of , but actually when I took this great responsibility , I discovered that if I didn’t take that responsibility I would lose a lot.

I would have lost all those friends , brothers & sisters

I would lost tremendous learning & experience of dealing with humans.

I would have lost a lot of memories which are engraved in my mind lifetime.

I would have lost the opportunity to wrote this note to you on the Cosmo website.

Again & again Thanks for belonging to such great name (Alex Cosmo)

I am quiet sure that Alex Cosmo will continue its excellence as we are used to.

One last word my memories with Alex Cosmo will never be apart cause they are always in my heart.
