Beneath the name Cosmo lies very lucky people called the cosmaweya! We are lucky for many reasons, the dynamic yet friendly members, the mastermind & creative board which tailors our success day by day, the most supporting and wonderful sponsoring Rotary Club. Our club named Alexandria Cosmopolitan Rotaract Club , was established in June 1996 by Past President Yasser Abu El Azm and our beloved past Members:

The club started with 15 members, reached its top number in 2003-2004 with 35 members & 5 regular guests… Now we have about 22 active members, 11 excused for the whole year and 12 regular guests... 

Our first president was Yasser Abo Al Azm, followed by Ritta Aboud, Ramy Azmy, Hania Badr Al Dein, Ahmed Ismail, Ahmed Abdel Mohsen, Mennat Sharkas, Mohamed Morsy, Nancy Eshra, Amr Ammar and standing this year (2006-2007) Adham Heissen.

Our club includes a collaborative group of members as well as guests. We all work together in order to make a unique record of marvelous accomplishments that always keep us on top of lists.

Alex Cosmo RAC successes story was always a wisdom; All over the years from our District since “PP.Yasser”. BUT during the years 2001-2002 till 2003-2004 it was an outstanding accomplishment; maintaining the first place all over the Districts Club with a sum of over 20 prizes; we were the first club in the District’s history to get both “Matching Grant & New opportunities grant”.

Even during the year 2004-2005 where most of our members were excused & we were working with our least efforts, we still managed to get 2 district awards, for community service & fund raising, & a certificate for professional development.

However, we are sure that this current year will witness more continuous successes, as we are back on the track, upgrading our selves' skills, serving our community... & serving it with pleasure.

The cosmos meet every Saturday, 7.00 pm. at Trianon Le Salon, Alexandria – Egypt.
